To set up or submit a new ad:
1. Click on the ‘Submit New Ad’ on the Marketplace navigation bar.
2. Choose a category
a. Podiatry Products
b. Podiatry Equipment
c. Books
d. Continuing Professional Development
e. Other/Misc
3. Choose an ‘Ad Type’:
a. Fixed Price (if you selling for a fixed price)
b. Auction (if you want an auction to run like on eBay)
c. Link (if you have a website with the product on it)
Fixed Price:
1. Choose a title (please no capitals or over-promotion; simply just name the product or service)
2. Choose a timeframe – default is 2 months (more credits can be used later to keep the advertisement running)
3. Upload an image – a picture always helps with the selling
4. Choose the additional options you want to allow (The ‘Allow Comments’ option allows members to post public comments at the bottom of your listing. These can be questions, feedback, or general opinions) (The Relist Until Sold option tells the script that you want the classifeds to deduct the credits from your account to relist the item if it closes without a sale. It is important that if you decide that you want to change this setting that you come back and edit your listing to turn this off or your listing will continue to relist itself until you are out of credits or someone commits to buy your item which ever happens first!)
5. Enter the price you want to sell the product or service for
6. Enter the shipping cost (keep in mind that Podiatry Arena is an international community, so are you willing to ship internationally?)
7. Enter your PayPal email address for payment (to open an account go to http://www.paypal.com )
8. Because Podiatry Arena is an international community, please enter the location of the product or service, so no one gets confused
9. Describe the product; include details; include links to more information (if available); talk about your shipping (especially if willing to ship internationally); more information is better
10. Submit the ad.
11. After submitting view the advertisements; there are some additional tools at the bottom of the page for sellers to use.
Auction:

5. Enter the reserve price; the buy it now price (like on eBay) you want to sell the product or service for

7. If you want to use PayPal (recommended), enter your PayPal email address for payment (to open an account go to http://www.paypal.com ); if you do not want to use PayPal, then leave this box blank (you will need to write later how payment is to be made)

Feature an Advertisment:
Using additional credits, you can bring more advertisment; click on the ‘Feature Ad’ option.
A Featured advertsiment appears about the others and is rotated on the home page . |
