In view of current work place political correctness, I can assure you the lights are always on....and there is no interesting as it sounds, but I regularly urge my students to cop a feel of as many feet as they can get their hands on....all good experience for clinical practice.
On a more serious note I do have trouble in early second year getting them to actually touch each other (on the feet) in my classes to begin to get a good broad base line "feel" for feet.
