Has anyone working in the NHS Paediatric Podiatry Departments have details of their recall scheme for their patients?
I want to set one up for my Paediatric patients in a NHS Trust.
At present Parents are asked to phone up nearer the due time. However this is very casual and leads to parents forgetting in some cases to contact the Podiatry Department. We then lose contact with the Child and they have treatment delayed/ ceased at together.

    Any information would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I would appreciate anybody's ideas on this issue of recall of child patients. Does anyone use System one computer records system to recall patients?
    Thanks Heather

My brothers company has a system they have been selling to dental practices that automatically phones the client 3 days before an appointment.

You pre record your message the "phone/computer system" does the rest, dialing up from your client list, based on their next appointment

    Is that what your after?

Paeds clinics always have a huge FTA rate because of the relatively long review periods. It's difficult because we can't dischrge because we still have duty of care for the patient and the waiting lists grow and grow.

We use a system called meditech to manage our clinics. This system can send a text reminder to the parents which is great. The texts don't cost, but the system has an annual fee.
