Ferulas DAFO

    Hola a todos,

    En primer lugar me gustaría aclarar que no tengo nada de experiencia en férulas, por ello es por lo que inicio este post, y para saber vuestras opiniones.

    Me gustaría centrarlo en la podologia infantil, y en concreto al pie plano valgo con hiperlaxitud ligamentosa, que siendo el diagnóstico más repetido y más visto en la población infantil, fue el caso que vino a consulta. El paciente vino desde la consulta de traumatología, para ver una 2ª opinión. Yo le exploré y finalmente me decanté por una ortesis plantar, y fue cuando entonces la madre me dijo que le habían recetado la férula DAFO 5.

    Por ello, ¿os decantáis más por una ortesis plantar, ya sea de resina o polipropileno, o una férula DAFO (a nivel de tobillo)? Diferencias y/o resultados?


    En mi humilde opinión:confused:, yo desconocía la aplicación de ésta férula en éste diagnóstico, sé que hay multitud de tipos de ferulas DAFO, según la patologia: Parálisis cerebral, Lesiones medulares, Síndrome de Down, Distrofia muscular, espasticidad muscular, Secuelas de poliomelitis... casi todos son problemas neurológicos.

    ¿Que opinais vosotros? ¿Qué opináis de éstas férulas? ¿Las habéis realizado en consulta?
