I am looking for a good reference on doing cast modifications. Does anyone know of such a text?

    Thank you

Jim Philps has an excellent text, The Functional Foot Orthoses. 2nd or 3rd edition. Supports the locals I say... (he's from New Zealand).

Thomas Michaud has some good work from memory.

    Craig and Gareth,

Please excuse me for not replying earlier. I was out of town.

Thanks so much for both of your replies.

Don't overlook Ray Anthonys seminal text. " Manufacture and Use of the Functional Foot Orthosis"

or words to that effect, published by Karger, circa 1991.

It has an excellent description of casting techniques, prescription writing, cast modifications, and trouble shooting orthoses.

    Worth a read.

    Regards,

    Peter Morgan

I was unable to find Jim Philps' book on Amazon or BarnesandNoble.com.
Is this the correct spelling of his name? Thanks, Ann

    aaaarrrrggghhhh it just won't work.
Do this --- go to amazon.com and go to advanced search.
    In author type Philps J
and in book, type functional foot orthoses

I still can't find either book, Philps or Anthony. Does anyone have ISBN numbers?

    Thanks,
    Ann

The ISBN number for the first addition is 0 443 04058 3
There has been a more recent addition with a green hard cover i think.
