Default Standards of care for musculoskeletal foot health services

*** Apologies for cross posting***
Standards of care for musculoskeletal foot health services
We would like to draw your attention to a new set of standards of care for services for people with musculoskeletal conditions and associated problems. The project was a podiatry-led initiative involving 18 medical, nursing, AHP and service user organisations and the completed document and supporting resources now form part of the stable of standards documents promoted by UK arthritis umbrella body ARMA (the Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance).
The document covers local and systemic musculoskeletal conditions and is of relevance to practitioners in biomechanics and orthopaedics as well as rheumatology.

This is a UK project but the philosophy is patient-facing and so the implementation and service provision aspects will have application in other European, American and antipodean settings.
The standards document is supported by an implementation package and all documentation is available online at www.prcassoc.org.uk/standards-project

Hard copies of the glossy document are available on request from a.redmond[at] leeds.ac.uk or r.waxman[at]leeds.ac.uk
