If the HPC (or govt) ever wanted evidence that FHP's are putting the public at risk due to their limited knowledge, they only need to look at the above website and some of the others discussed on TFS. FHP's are shooting themselves in the foot with those websites.
Unfortunately the HPC do not want evidence against FHPs- their reply to this advert was that they have no jurisdiction over FHPs other than to try to persuade them not to advertise under the heading 'chiropodist'.
The HPc consider that the public may be at risk from its regulated and registered members but not from the unregulated sector!
The HPC is not the way to complain. I have tried trading standards but you have to be a resident of the same area in which the alleged offender works. Therefore if anyone in Warwickshire who wants to take up the baton please feel free.
Advertising standards will be my next point of call.
It seems that someone has now used a spellchecker on the website. It is certainly much better than before but there are still some spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.
I am pleased to see though, that diabetics no longer have "thin blood" attributed to them.
Dido
Aport from that its simplistic navelty and oblivious spoolling and grandma miss steaks, at leest it are be clear and honeyst and there is no atemp at pilling of wooll over gullable eyes.

There is a very similar practitioner advertising in our local business circular thingy.
I'm not in PP but I tell you what, this lot are the end of Podiatry being a medical specialism.
If someone can set up and operate, legally, and essentially offer everything I can offer with less training etc etc etc. Then what is the point of doing a Podiatry degree??
It's all been said before though re the HPC's protection of title and not protection of function it's a fine example of wealth generation through regulation.
if you were an FHP, what letters would you put after your name??
My title would read:
Samuel James Randall Esq.
BSc SSc DOE(Bronze) and FMITC
They stand for
BSc = Bronze Swimming Certificate
SSc = Sivler Swimming Certificate
DOE = Duke of Edinburgh (Bronze Award)
FMITC = Funniest Man in this Chair
OMG! that foot health "practioner's" site is horrendous.....no fear of much trade from that.......bet that drives the patients to our doors in droves! :-)
Who needs the HPC when "Practioners" of that standard make us look so good.....!
