Default Choice of course

Podiatry Arena members do not see these ads
I chose to study via the college of foot healthcare practitioners and looking at replys to some peoples threads i am debating wether or not i have made the correct choice.
It says it gives me oppertunity to work on my own or work towards a further uni placement. All i wish to do is be able to work for myself and undertake basic care and support for patients in looking after their feet is this what this course will achieve me as peoples comments are making it unclear!

Onestuckstudent,
If you have read the posts on this forum you will see what the general opinion is of unregulated foot care courses!
I am unsure what you mean about "working towards a further uni placement". How will the course help you with that?

If you are happy to do basic palative footcare these courses give you a good grounding, but building a bussiness is hard even for us with degrees. There are many foothealth proffesionals out there that make a good living but it does not come overnight.

I'm not sure if this course will give you credits for university and since the end of grandparenting the door is closed to become HPC registered and you will never be a Chiropodist or Podiatrist. This may be frustrating if you are young and want to make a proffessional career for yourself.
