However, IMHO 5% of your patients cause 95% of your headaches. Working out the 'nutters' takes age, maturity and experience. Once you can 'pick them' - run a mile (ie refer to your 'dearest' health colleague).
I was also once told by a more experienced podiatrist with a medico-legal background, somewhat politically incorrectly, to beware the 40-50 year old single female with a history of being either let down by a health professional, or a partner. These are invariably the ones that will be dissatisfied with whatever you do for them, and probably sue you.
