Default Practice Manual

Do you have/use a practice manual? I have bits & pieces of info. on computer about the basic functions within my practice but realise the need to have it much more organised & combined into a proper manual. Does anyone have any suggestions or places to look to get advice on what to include or how to format something like this properly.

Yes, I have one, which lives in the clinic at arm's reach at all times. It also lives alongside the A.Pod .A manual, to which one is referred for general stuff. My protocol has all the info that is relevant to my clinic (eg fee schedules, clinic hours, etc) . The only problem is getting staff to read it, so you don't get those constant questions!

Hi. Do you means MIMS? If so, call a local GP clinic & see if they have any old ones.

You really need to look at all functions of the practice on a daily basis and write it all down.
Then you can go through it and remove duplicates.
It should encompass everything even putting the kettle on.
It is a vital piece of practice furniture. When you come to sell it will be invaluable also f your receptionist wins the lottery and decamps immediately you will have guidelines for your new one.
