I would be grateful if anyone could offer me some advice,
I am due to graduate from a UK university this summer (all being well) and am really wondering if it is possible to find podiatry work in Australia straight away?
I was in the same situation as you looking at jobs in Australia for when I graduated. I graduated last year and filled out all the relevant forms to have my course accredited. This ended up taking several months due to one thing or another. I then had to register with AHPRA. I have just finally been fully registered. However the employers I had agreed to work with did not like the time it took and have such moved onto other podiatrists.
If I could offer any advice it would be to get your paperwork filled in and sent away as soon as you can. If you would like any help on the paperwork and the process please feel free to drop me a message.
yes it is possible. I left uni with a job offer and that was 4 years ago. Just get the paper work filled in ASAP. You are prob looking at min of 3 mths, its a timely process but hey whats the rush. Good luck.
Hi,
I am an employer in Australia looking to employ a Podiatrist in the second half of this year. Send me your CV - I have sponsored several UK podiatrists previously. I could have you working in Australia in no time. My email is angela@afootc.com.au
