Default Women's Footwear

Hi all,

I am currently updating my little database for women, who are prescribed orthotics in my clinic and are looking for fashion shoes that are orthotic friendly (eg removable foot bed sandals/dress shoes)

I thought I would throw it out to you all and see if you had any recommendations?

Specifically, I was looking for stores with online catalogues or options to purchase online, as locally, the pickings are quite slim. This would offer my patients more choice too! I tend to give a list to these patients so they have a bit of variety.

Not too concerned with international shipping (if the website only ships within their country), as this is easy to get around! So fire away with websites from your area.

Again, these are for more fashionable shoes eg Ziera/kumfs. I am hoping to broaden the list of stores I already have.

Thank you

And you think the fitting they get from an online shoe store is a good option?

Do you also recommend they get their orthotics online?

The fit of the shoe will have a direct bearing on the success of your orthotic device, think about that for a moment before recommend an online store.

No, it is to show the patient what is available on the market and the shoe stores they can visit. There are plenty of shoe stores locally that stock some brands, but not all styles.

I'll take it you weren't meant to be patronising.

Never mind, lets forget that and move on then...

Just because a shoe has a removable foot bed does not make it orthotic friendly either, but what do your clients call fashion in sunny Brisbane is the big question?

Some of the new Ziera sandals are very good, try Mona and Mira, these two have full length removable foot beds.

Dizzy only has a half length foot bed but is very good, however Ipswitch and Devine have a half length foot bed, but l would not call them orthotic friendly products, see for yourself.
