By systematically colouring and customizing them including devising elaborate lacing patterns the result was some models became cult. His blend autobiography, oral history, vintage ads, grainy shots of urban glamour, and detailed description of individual sneakers means this book a rich vain of anthropology and a must for any serious collector.
