Hi Guys, thanks for your time.

A saw an 30 y.o on Friday. with long standing history of ' sensitivity', if you will.

She has been diagnosed with RSD, occurring inher hand, right knee and chin, all resulting from injury to those particular areas.

She presented as a long term runner, more specifically sprinter who lately has not been able to sprint due to debilitating cramps in the medial portion of both gastoc bellies after a run, and then the pain progressing for the next 3 days, lessening slowly. There is no history of injury to the area.

Physio treatment has focussed on muscle tightness inthe lower back, with no positive results on the calf cramps.

She does take magnesium, although only in small doses and recent blood tests showewd a lack of zinc, which she is now taking supplements for. She is not under the same regular GP, which i have advised, and has not recently seen a neurologist. She has been under a cadio?? neurologist in the past, with very different and uncommon treatment methods for the other incidences of RSD.

She has come to me for biomech, which is relatively unremarkable, although has quite a cavoid foot, minimal heel strike ( almost expercted in a sprinter) and lateral weightbearing throughout.

Minimal gastroc / soleal restriction and good STJ, MTJ, ankle, knee and hip ROM.

What can anyone suggest?? My initial thought is referral to neuro.. pt is not keen to see a chiro, or osteo!

    Thanks, will appreciate any imput
