Stimulate the ear to treat diabetic chronic wounds?

    I think that we should take this seriously David, and carry out a complementary study on peripheral nerve stimulation (by tickling). I haven't really looked into the study design but my hypothesis is that by ticking the feet (where peripheral nerves are not damaged):

    i) withdrawal of the foot will increase muscular activity
    ii) local blood perfusion will increase
    iii) heart rate will increase
    iv) blood pressure will rise
    v) sats will rise

    Not too sure about C reactive protein and serum, but both could be written into the study.

    PS, by inducing the patient to use the hallux to stimulate the ear, I predict that as a result even more startling results will result.
