Great Anatomy app for iPhone: Ankle & Foot Pro III - iPhone Edition
Re: Great Anatomy app for iPhone: Ankle & Foot Pro III - iPhone Edition
I also have the Ipad edition and I must say been using it in my practice and it has change my life!
Much easier now when I want to explain to a patient what's wrong with their feet. I recomend it 100%

Not knocking ant of these modern day applications, but where is the consideration of biological variation? This is a critical issue, and many seem to ignore, or pretend that it is not there.

I would say the demand for an anatomy app with biological variation would be pretty slim. Apps are for the majority of potential users and this is a darn good app to review the anatomy and as a teaching aid.

I am not familiar with this app, but would always recomend Frank Netters CD Rom. At any level - from a student through to professor of anatomy, it is hugely worthwhile. And you know the funny bit? When they made it, they didn't copyright-protect it........... if you see what I mean. I used it in my anatomy classes right up until retirement. Rob

I've given up using my smart phone - they don't work when wearing gloves which is most of my time!
Does anyone know how fingers interface with a touch screen because for some reason even when I don't wear gloves the screens just don't work properly for me - it's become a party piece in our household. Everyone else seems to be able to use a touch screen except me - I must have mutant fingers! Is it humidity, static or what that makes them work. Whatever it is I don't have it!

You are right Rob. I would not recommend this app for the serious student of anatomy as its pretty basic. I recently purchased the I-Pad version and I can see it being somewhat useful for patient education. It would be nice if they included photos of common foot pathology and how the anatomy is altered.

Hi all I've been using this as a bit of fun with the quiz, but the interactive bits are also useful like being able to draw on any part and show your patients more clearly what your talking about. I brought it on my iPad using the iPhone app and just enlarge it, easy and great value.
