Client purchased a new shoe Monday, asked for build up of 15mm for her
    LLD.

Clients Grandson, aged 30 came in Saturday for the pick up, showed the clients grandson the build up and measured the adjustment for the grandson to see then told him "that will be $150 thank you".

Grandson's reply " l am not paying that, you only built up the one shoe, what
    about the other one?

I had a client who presented with infected onychocryptosis. I explained to her that she had an "ingrown nail", to which the 70 year old lady replied, "I can't have an ingrown toenail as my doctor said that you don't get ingrown toenails at my age."

Explained calmly that an ingrown toenail is where the nail has pierced the skin, which this clearly has, but as her doctor said that you couldn't get ingrown nails when you were as old as her then she refused to believe :deadhorse:.

    Cheers

Client presented complaining of pain caused by othoses made by a Pod down the road. Client very unhappy, spent lots of $$$.
Checked devices, waved magic wand, patient put on shoes to test. Success.
Explained gently that the left device needed to be in the left shoe, the right in the right
    Bless 'em

Well done retropod for resisting the temptation of making a new, better pair

I particularly like patients who come into clinic for review of their orthoses/shoes/whatever without them, as they are hurting/rubbing/whatever. And you expect me to do what? One wasted appointment-check! (God love the NHS). :deadhorse:
