Default VIVA! Bradley Wiggins.

The brilliant Cadel Evans got a mention last year so Our Wiggo also deserves a mention too. Awesome rider, amazing sidey's and a great personality in sport (probably helped that he isn't "media trained")

This is my favorite pic of Wiggins after his triumphant time trial. Nexy year should be interesting Phil as Froom appeared nearly as strong as Wiggins except the TT/overall.

Yeah it's going to be real interesting selection dilemma for Sky. Froome has said he'll stay so not sure if they'll let BW defend his win or let CF have a shot. It's inspired me to do E'tape next year anyway. I've just been for a ride up Box Hill (Olympic road race route) and its buzzing already. The zig zag road closes tomorrow so everyone going for a last blast. Exciting times...

Yeah great photo David. The point he knew the tour was his

He's got real edge though as the YouTube vid shows. Beware VERY strong language.
But goes to show anything can end your tour

In the www.cyclingnews.com forum there's a few mentions of various teams after Froome. It would be crazy for him to stay if Wiggins does. Incredible efforts from the 'domestiques' especially Boassen-Hagen!

I remember the mid -late '80s when ANC Halfords put a team into the Tour, it was embarassing to watch british cycling in those days, now with the investment of time, coaches, technology and facilities, we are reaping the reward of that investment.

I wonder where the start point was for British cycling? I think it was before Bejing. I think the emergence of triathlon over here may have something to do with it. Also the cycle to work scheme has been helpful...surprised it survived the cuts.

I think there was a plan to get olympic medals for events where multiple participants could achieve multiple medals, hence cycling, swimming and rowing have received terrific investment as one participant could feasibly bring home more than one medal, more bang for your buck if you like.
