A question about wound care. I have a colleague who is running a hospital in Honduras as part of her community service following medical school She states that most patients present to her hospital with coffee leave or corn leave dressings. (my first question)

The patients are utilizing COFFEE on their wounds. I've attempted to search for this use as a holistic medicine to and for wound therapy. (I found that it might be antimicrobial)..... Any information that you could provide? Any additional information you could provide regarding suggestions for wound therapy/wound care in a third world country...... (she may present something....?)

    please respond...... to sdenisar@yahoo.com

    thanks
