For those keen on running... or thinking of embarking on some running - here is a running documentary about a guy who had a goal to go from a beer drinking couch potato to a sub 2'20 marathon runner... in 2 years  . It's quite a story... & a transformation... & inspiring.

I found it very interesting. It looks to be a 3 part series with the 2nd part coming out on the 1st April (ominous date i.e. April Fools). Anyway, I take my hat to this guy; he looks to be really taking it seriously, sincerely putting in the hard miles in a quest to at least get close to his goal...

The following is the 2nd instalment of the documentary: Running to the Limits...

Once again some really interesting footage & comments... particularly interesting is the form/technique (as well as leg rebound) difference between the Ethiopian & British runners.

Part 3 is said to be out at the end of May.

Here is the 3rd & final instalment of the running documentary... "Running to the Limits"...

Alex had a good journey... a valuable experience - to say the least. Let alone made him fitter & likely add years to his life (based on his previous state of health).

I wish I could have 2 years to solely focus on my running. To be able to cross the t's & dot the i's in an optimal holistic approach to marathon training (i.e. altitude training, cross training, strength workouts, differing training environments, optimal recovery sessions/methods... let alone time to do the miles required).

Would be nice if there were updates on the runners involved in the doc. in the future.
