Default Search engines for open access journal articles

Podiatry Arena members do not see these ads
Quite a few recent posts have been requests for articles from students/overseas clinicians who have limited access to journal subscriptions for one reason or another. I thought it may be useful to list the main online repositories which allow searches for open access journal articles (apologies to those who this is old news to):

Google Scholar

OAlster

OpenDOAR

Bielefeld Academic Search Engine

Intute Repository Search

Nice one Ian.

Also if people find articles that they must pay to read the full text from Pub medhttp://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/ etc. Then do what I do Google the title sometimes the full text PDF has been posted or come back here and say I looked at these papers they look intersting anyone have a PDF they can email or post up I could not find the full text.
