Penicillium sp

    Hola compañeros,

    Desde hace unos meses en mi consulta estamos realizando cultivos de posibles uñas micóticas. Antes sólo nos fijamos en el aspecto de la uña para determinar el diagnóstico y tratamiento. Hace pocos días el laboratorio nos mandó el resultado de un cultivo y decía:
    "Penicillium sp. Hongo comúnmente contaminante. Valorar clínicamente."
    Me desconcerté porque al no ser un hongo dermatofito ni levadura no estoy segura del tratamiento más adecuado. O saber si hay que hacer algún otro tipo de valoración.
    La zona afectada es la 1ª uña de ambos pies de varios meses de evolución.
