This Freedom of Information request of the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust makes riveting reading

Quote:
Dear Sir / Madam,
I would like to make the following request under the Freedom of Information act 2000. I understand I can expect a reply within 20 working days.
Does the Trust provide toenail cutting as part of its chiropody and podiatry services?

Thank you for your request of 04/07/2012

In answer to your question of: Does the Trust provide toenail cutting as part of its chiropody and podiatry services?

The Podiatry Service of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust does provide toe nail cutting as one of a wide range of treatment options for paediatric and adult patients. This is based upon their presenting podiatric problem and medical need. The service utilises evidence based individualised care plans for patients and nail care may form part of these care plans. Patients are risk assessed and allocated an appropriate return time for any further continuing treatment based upon the presenting risk factors for each individual patient.

I hope this information is helpful.

If you are unhappy with the response there are a number of options open to you. Firstly, please get in touch straightaway to see if we can address your concerns.
Alternatively you may prefer to take your concerns through our formal complaints procedure by writing to:
