Hi all,

Thanks for your help, this is my first post :)

I have a 20yr old client that has a history of being homeless, talipes on one foot (unfortunatly requiring another lot of surgery at 15, leading to fixation of first ray and cavus rigid foot type). I've done some orthoses for him, but a major concern for him is hyperhidrosis - no sign of tinea, but very sweaty palms and soles and ID.
He has tried Driclor on my advice daily on feet and hands, and I can report a significant reduction in odour, but he is still unhappy with the amount of sweat and heat produced by his skin.

I can remember discussions around condys crystals and low % formaldehyde in alcohol at uni as last resort, but havn't had to use anything like that clinically myself yet - has anyone done this? Does it work? He reported considering surgery, but would be under the public system, so I'm unsure if he'd ever likly be able to get anything done, and how successful that would be.

Thanks for any help you can give me,
cheers
