    Would hip excessive hip external rotation at heel strike cause the same mechanism to occur as an excessively varus positioned hindfoot in an addyct d gait? i.e. Increased lateral ground reaction force plus body weight force from above causing increased pronation? Thank you.

    There was thus thread: Proximal influences in medial tibial stress syndrome - not clear if mechanism potentially the 'bending moments' hypothesis discussed above or via other mechanism.
