    Hi all,

We've had a few pts in the last few weeks which have been told by public health Pod that the Medical Aids Subsidy Scheme (MASS) scheme has had its funding cut in QLD. Any one else heard this? Do we know why? or have I been living under a rock?

We see a lot of patients who need to get their MGF and orthoses through this scheme as cannot afford the $$$.

    Thanks.

Your correct. Well sort of. Funding cut ..no. Prescriber status ceased.

The trial of public sector podiatrists being able to prescribe to MASS ceased on 30 June 2015.
Clients/patients can still access MASS funding for all areas of fund-able medical grade footwear via the private sector channels of medical specialists as prescribers of these items.

Or the public sector through the HHS

Came as a shock to many Pedorthists let me tell you. It seemed to work well.
