I have a small statue of a boy sitting holding his foot.
It's a replica of the life sized sculpture that was in the lobby of the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine way back when. I'm not sure whatever happened to it.
Does anyone know the name of this sculpture and/or artist?
I'm looking for a larger model.
Thanks
Steve

Thanks Robert.
I did in fat find it, Boy with Thorn by Fedelino - Spinario.
I also found a life sized marble replica for sale! It will look great in my office entrance!
I'll see if I can insert a picture of it
Steve

well, newsbot beat me to it.
Great isn't it?
If I recall correctly the one at the ICPM lobby was marble. Apparently the original is in Rome and I THINK may be out of my price range.
I'll settle for a copy
Thanks again
Steve

Boy with a thorn statuettes were given as 'gongs' at the old Edinburgh School of Podiatry for many years. Many ended up as door stops and paper weights. In the Kodak Theatre, Hollywood there is in the walkway a reference to corn cures and the money that can be made from podiatric requisites.
