    Hi everyone,

I'm a writer at an international website hoping to put together a one-off science piece about Grierson-Gopalan, or as I learned about it, "Red hot foot syndrome." I find this condition particularly interesting as it is most prevalent in young women and I'd like to learn more. I'm particularly interested in how genetics and psychosomatic symptoms play into it.

If anyone is interested in talking to me as an expert, please let me know!

    Best,
    Claire

My best guess from what I was able to read on it is that the condition probably does not exist and the descriptions of it a very similar to Erythromelalgia, which is probably what most cases of it are.

Thanks so much. What about more mild cases when people afflicted feel it just at night time? Have you heard of such cases?

Burning feet at night is really common; its just that no one refers to it as Grierson-Gopalan Syndrome

There are many many different causes of it and range from neurological to vascular to endocrine to unknown causes.
