RSVP for the 2nd Westmead Diabetic Foot Symposium is soon - 8th August, 2008.

Our international keynote speaker is Johan Boogers.

Johan has worked for 25 years as a cast technician and more recently as a Nurse Practitioner in The Netherlands. Johan and his team pioneered innovative offloading techniques for the treatment of diabetic foot ulceration, such as the ‘gold standard’ below knee walking cast (as promoted by 3M healthcare) and the Roermond Shoe. The Roermond Shoe is a custom made cast shoe which is used as an alternative to the traditional below knee cast and is specifically indicated for the ischaemic limb.

Should be highly informative, thought provoking and clinically applicable for those working with the diabetic foot.

    Full program attached.

    Kind regards
