"Complications of hallux varus, skin impingement, screw breakage, and first metatarsophalangeal stiffness were experienced."

SO, out of 94 patients they had screws breaking, Hallux Varus deformity, Stiffness, etc...??????? And these were in "selected" patients????

I guess the main conclusion of the study was missed.
    That is:
If you are a patient undergoing hallux Valgus correction DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN A STUDY!
