I was wondering if anyone knew where to buy disposable ingrown nippers from. There seem to be few options for normal nippers but not the smaller sized ones geared towards removing pesky ingrown nails.

Hi footinthecity, I agree with Nikki, you may also receive more replies if we know who you are? Being anonymous in the early stages is fun but does make life harder as you become more involved with pod arena.
I know as that is how I started.
Disposaables sound good but then I think just more land fill
Back to your question I have not come across disposables.

I dont use disposables and would suspect that they would not be as sharp as good quality nippers but I stand to be corrected on that, not having used them!

I always remove any nail spurs with a 15 blade- they are always to hand if have more than one patient with the same complaint, obviously always sharp, and of course disposable.It is often more comfortable for the patient too if the nail sulcus is very tight.

Many years ago I tried a very slim pair of ingrown nippers and managed to nick the patients skin! So now I dont actually possess any ingrown nippers.

It is also advisable not to cough as well when you make the cut! The patient must also ask permission to breath too!
