Running a forum like this means developing some sort of surveillance system to monitor the news and report on it, so people can comment. As part of those endeavours, a team, Valley Podiatric, keeps coming up. They are from the Lomec Valley, Cailfornia ... so I thought it was time we should start following their progress:

From the Lompec Record, 26 November:
Quote:
Schuyler's 70, Pods 47
Valley Podiatric stayed tight with Schuyler's Embroidery for the first half, but the Pods were left flatfooted in the second half. Schuyler's Jamal Morris scored 17 points, Alvin Gordon added 13, Regis Williams tossed in 12 and Mark Morrow hit 11 points for the Stitchers. Kevin Martin Jr. led the Pods with 14 points while Paul Feeley added 10, Jeff Coggin nine and Kevin Martin Sr. eight.
From the Lompec Record, 19 November

Pod People feast on Amigos & Truckers
Quote:
....The Pods pounded Amigos and Truckers alike in recent Lompoc Parks and Rec slooow-pitch softball games. Pacific Pods 17, Amigos 7 Valley Podiatric triples overcame Los Amigos homers and helped give Pod pitcher Mike Dunn a big early lead
From 24 September:
Quote:
It takes 10 innings, but the Pod People prevail:
Quote:
High scores and quick games are standard in Lompoc Parks and Rec softball play, but 10 innings in the late game! The Pods pushed the Motorheads into extra innings in that one, the Bankers put 19 runs up in a first inning deposit, and Garrett ...
From 25 April:
Quote:
Pods Upset Hawks:
...You figured if they kept playing they'd lose one sooner or later. Well, it happened last week as Valley Podiatric ended the seasons-long win streak of the Vandenberg Air Force Base Hawks in a Lompoc Rec softball game...
There is more from the Lompec Record, but it requires paid acess to the archives.

Does anyone know more about them? Lets get behind them and follow their progress.
