Podiatry Arena members do not see these ads

I am currently a private pod, and I have been approached by another private pod in my area to merge our practices. I would like some advice as to what I should be considering when looking at this merger. From what kind of business structure, to checking references! I need help! Any advice would be much appreciated.

Difficult to advise as we don't know what area you are in. Setting up a limited company may be a good idea.

Oh my from my experience partnershps end in disaster. You have to have an exit clause. And what is the motivation behind the other pod asking to do this?

I agree with Lorraine, I started a partnership and it ended with me paying a lot of money to buy out the other partner who was not pulling their weight and had not for over a year!!!!! Whilst still keeping the business going
Also my brother, who is in a totally different profession also got stung by his partner who just upped and left him with all the bills and debts.
It is certainly not something I would do again.
I would ask this other pod, why do they want to amalgamate the 2 practices......is yours better than theirs, do they not want to continue working so hard, etc , etc.
Think long and hard, what is in it for you?
Do you need to change your structure, or is it just them??????
