Default WorK Wanted Brisbane Areas

Hi

I will be arriving in Australia on 2nd Jan 2009 (UK Pod) and will be looking for work mid-late Jan 2009.

I have been looking on the APODC site and Seek for work and there doesnt seem to be much available.

I have never not worked and arriving in Aus without work will be very daunting for me....especially as i have never not worked before!!

Therefore i would be grateful if anyone would let me know if they are aware of any vacancies which are likely to arise around time.

Thanks in advance

Rebecca

Hi Rebecca,

I haven't heard of any positions available in Brisbane, but locum work might be an option to get you started until you find a permanent position. You can contact the APodA (if you join as a member) and have your name placed on a "locum list" which APodA members have access to if they require a locum.

Even as a non-member, I'm pretty sure that you can advertise for a small fee on the APodC website and in Imparja (monthly publication posted to APodA Qld members) that you are looking for locum work.

I'll let you know if I hear of anything though, good luck job hunting!

Regards

Donna
