Clinical Study Reports Significant Improvement for Discolored Toenails
Topical Gel Improves Nail Appearance by Exfoliating Yellowing Keratin Debris Buildup Under Nails

Princeton, NJ (PRWEB) December 11, 2004 -- Xenna Corporation announced today the results of a 3-month extension study which confirm its natural, ethanoic-acid based NonyX Nail Gel significantly improves toenail color and clarity by exfoliating yellowing keratin debris from under the nail.

The whitish, granular buildup called keratin debris is the source of most toenail and fingernail discoloration. It can build up under nails over time and appear white, yellow or brown, causing nails to look discolored. Patented NonyX Nail Gel is a topical gel marketed as a natural exfoliant of keratin debris for use on toenails and fingernails.

The 12-month, single-center, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, parallel-design, usage study reported a significant difference between the ethanoic acid gel and placebo gel in terms of nail clarity and color, as well as amount of nail containing keratin debris. After 12 months of twice daily application, 100% of subjects using NonyX Gel showed improved primary toenail color/clarity and a reduction in the amount of debris, versus placebo scores of 44% and 33% respectively. Significant improvement in nail appearance (translucency, color) occurred at month 5 on small nails and at month 9 on the primary toenail, compared to placebo.
