Me too. Even Mrs Spooner thought that one was a beaut. Vote: "Russell".

Christ - talk about being hoisted by your own petard. Recall a pertinent response to Simon last year whereby
Quote:
I enjoy reading your posts, Simon and very much appreciate the contributions you make, however there are times when your replies are rather fatuous and occasionaly disparaging. Although most of us will simply shrug our shoulders and think you're being a bit of a 2@ , it would be a real pity if such an approach inhibited others, perhaps a bit less experienced or confident, from contributing.
Time to eat my own words methinks!

Season's greetings to all.

That's a good one, glad you reminded us of it. Looks like you may have learned something after all by attending Dr. Spooner's School of Etiquette.

Tis the only place to be. Have to say that graduation from the Spooner School of Diplomacy is the only qualification in town. Analyse, question, argue, ridicule (where necessary), probe, examine - all with the primary motive of progressive understanding - so that future generations comprehend the true nature of human biomechanics and its inherent deficiencies - and our contrbution to redress its infalabilities through positive intervention. Small building blocks that will, in time, serve us all well. How we do that productively is another question....but its fun to be part of the equation.

Merry Christmas Kevin et al.

After nearly a month of voting (66 brave souls ventured forth to anonymously let their opinions be known), it appears that Mark Russell wins both the #1 and #2 quote awards for 2008.
Congratulations Mark!
Come on Craig, don't you have a bigger font for me to congralate Mark with.....????!!!!

The lesson from all of this.......? If you want to sell your product or advertise your "patented" or "trademarked" ideas here on Podiatry Arena, be prepared to be the subject of the best quotes for the year.

And by the way, special thanks to Brian, Dennis and Ed for your inspiring thoughts that led to the creation of these most memorable and valuable quotes.
