Bournemouth and Poole are located in the beautiful county of Dorset on the south coast of England. The area has something for everyone, from the vibrant university town of Bournemouth, to the beautiful coastline and sandy beaches; with the New Forest and the Purbecks on the doorstep.
Due to major and exciting expansion of our services, we are looking to recruit a further range of podiatrists.
The current staff and services in Dorset include:
• Podiatric Consultant in Diabetes
• Diabetic Service: High risk hospital clinics and community high risk clinics (and rotations)
• Biomechanics department (and rotations)
• Rheumatology service hospital and community high risk clinics(rotations being developed)
• Peripheral Vascular clinic in hospital
• Community Nail surgery service (and rotations)
• Consultant podiatric surgeon with 3 theatre sessions
• Partially centralised Community clinics in GP practices and Health centres.

While we cannot offer you all these options you can see that we are keen to support developing the services for patients and for all our staff to develop their skills.
If you are a motivated, enthusiastic podiatrist with excellent clinical skills, good team working and communication skills, then you may be just the person we are looking for to join our progressive department.
We offer opportunities for flexible working wherever possible; rotations through specialist areas including diabetes and nail surgery; support for staff through CPD, team meetings and clinical supervision. We have an appointed mentor for recently qualified staff, and assist in the training of student podiatrists. All posts will involve working in a variety of settings. As such, you must be able to travel throughout the PCT’s geographical boundaries, and the ability to work flexibly is essential.
