Default UK POD LOOKING FOR WORK IN QUEENSLAND

Podiatry Arena members do not see these ads
Hi all,
I'm yet another UK pod looking to invade!
I have a couple of years NHS experience and I'm expecting my permanent visa through in about May. I'm looking to work in Queensland, preferrably around the Sunshine Coast but open to any offers. I'm not specialist but do offer the full range of services, competently.
Kind regards,
Scott.

Hi. I have a practice in the sunshine coast area and am having a pod off on maternity leave in about august. i'd have 1/2 time work till then. then full time for 6 months. Then probably ongoing after that as we are growing fast. and I have a vacant house 1 street from the beach that would be usable if desired. Sound like what you are after?

Hi Moose,

Sorry for the delay, I've been away for a few weeks and had pretty much given up on my thread.

I would be more than interested in the job if it's still going? I'm expecting my 175 visa any day but can't really offer you any more than that. It seem that Australia hasn't escaped the credit crunch and although Podiatry is still on the newly formed critical in need occupation list things have tangibly slowed. Are you in a position to offer a sponsered visa?

kind regards,
Scott.

Question Re: UK POD LOOKING FOR WORK IN QUEENSLAND

Not wishing to interrupt,

Scott dear, have you neglected to peruse the jobs patch in your local paper?

Goodness me there are jobs aplenty (not) in sunny (not) Blighty.

I cannot imagine the pull to leave our sunny (not) shores to Oz for the chance of a healthy, happy, wholesome life in Australia.

Personally I think you are a quitter & not the sort of rugger playing chap us true Brits are cultivating.

Pher!!!

Here us Brits laugh in the face of 'Sunshiney Coast!' Pish.

Give me bleak & drizzle ever more.

Much love & a safe passage xxx twirls.

PS. Himselfs just been put on a 4 day week. Any room for a vegetarian stowaway?

I can't sing, I can't dance but I cook a mean poached egg

yes, still looking. I haven't sponsored anyone (if AA meetings don't count) before. I have no objection to it - but know zero about it. Can you tell me / send me something? Stephanie

Hi Scott

I think (but you'd prob be best to check DIAC site), that if you have a job offer, your visa receives greater priority. I can't be 100% sure on that, as I already have mine (applied last year); but if you have a Case Officer you should get it in the next few weeks.

Good luck with it all (things are manic round here, as we get ready to flee!)

Sarah

Scott,
I'm about to set up a new clinic on the Sunshine Coast specialising solely in orthotics utilising a 3D digitising and milling system. If of interest please drop me a line.
Regards
Don
