Data Trace Publishing Company is pleased to announce that a sample chapter, including over 50 full colour slides and photographs, from the podiatry textbook Principles and Practice of Podiatric Medicine, 2nd Edition is now available for viewing online.

“The ‘Tumors of the Soft Tissue’ chapter...is perhaps the first ever such chapter that focuses on neoplasms and non-neoplastic conditions as they occur in the lower extremity. The description of each condition reads like a separate journal article summarizing both the lesion’s frequency and its clinical features when it manifests in the soft tissue of the lower extremity,” explains chapter author Bradley Bakotic, DPM, DO.

Principles and Practice of Podiatric Medicine, 2nd Edition is edited by Leonard A. Levy, DPM, MPH of Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Vincent J. Hetherington, DPM, MS of Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. As Editor Vincent Hetherington explains, “The purpose of the book is to provide a comprehensive textbook for students, a ready reference for practitioners, and an aid to preparing for board examinations.”

While over 30% of the text is dedicated to lower extremity surgery, the book also covers a wide array of topics, including foot and ankle disorders and injuries, pathology, behavioral medicine, and alternative treatments. With 55 detailed chapters presented by experts in their fields and over 1,400 illustrations and tables, Principles and Practice of Podiatric Medicine, 2nd Edition is a one stop resource on current podiatric medical practice.
