Default Sophie Woolley @ the Fringe

There's loads of good stuff on in Edinburgh just now. But I'd especially recommend this one-woman fringe show which is on at the Carlton Highland Hotel.

Written and performed by Sophie Woolley, "When To Run' is one of the Fringe's hidden gems - stripped down theatre at its raw best. Sophie is mesmerising as she unravels and then pieces together the colliding lives of four London women who all, for various reasons, need/like to run.

'When To Run' is on daily at 3.20pm until 28th August.

Miss the Fringe and the binge that followed . Always meant to write a one man show "Oneman and his foot: a history of world domination" may be get round to that sometime. The Aussies do live linkup via Rove (tv show) to the Festival and have the "best of ", over for the Melbourne Comedy Festival. There are usually street theatre festivals too so it is quite common to see familiar acts from Princess Street on the main thoroughfares of Perth, Sydney and Adelaide. One of the newAustralian comedians is from Glasgow and originally trained as a chiropodist. Probably felt he could elicit more pain as a comedian. Interesting one of the authors of Biomechanics of the foot (ie Root, Orien and Weed) was a standup comedian.

Back to world domination:-)

Have one in the Oxford for me
