Default Cost of a professional license could quadruple under budget shortfall proposals

Just caught this:

The cost of a professional license would quadruple under Gov. Bev Perdue's budget proposal.
Quote:
I mentioned in my budget story today some of the professions whose annual fees would increase from $50 to $200.

Asheville's many residents in the field of massage and bodywork could also pay more. The "Art of Healing" license is among those going to $200. An association of N.C. massage therapists says their members must have that license.

That increase could come on top of last year's increases in massage centers' state fees.

Also on the list are chiropractors and naturopaths.

The full list:

Certified Public Accountant
Assistant Accountant
Architect
Art of Healing
Attorney
Chiropractor/Chiropodist
Dentist
Embalmer
Engineer
Land Surveyor
Landscape Architect
Loan Agencies
Naturopath
Ophthalmologist
Optician

Why have they used a forward slash (virgule) to suggest a link between a Chiropractor and a Chiropodist???
