Hi Paul,
Answering on behalf of Alicia, but no, portal haven't been approached. Most of the speaker are doing this for free and won't agree to being videoed and subsequent profit being made by a 3rd party, it was originally flagged. However it isn't to say we can't continue to chat about it, will raise it again at the Paed SIG next week.
The main of the speakers are the "Best in the Business" at what they do and the committee members of the Paed SIG have close working relationships which has enabled us to secure these. Given the caliber, I think it is a once in a lifetime and not sure how we will top (it's filling fast too so if you are thinking of coming, get in soon).
The workshops however are another thing and have potential to travel, just not at this time.

Hi Paul,
Most of the speaker are doing this for free and won't agree to being videoed and subsequent profit being made by a 3rd party.
So why not just broadcast it LIVE? Same as having people in the room itself really. Think of it as having a room full of people - and another room full of people at another location able to interact. APodA(Vic) and the SIG would be the ones making any profits, it would just extend the amount of people able to attend.
Just food for thought - there are obviously people who cannot be in Melbourne for this event who would like to go, so why not take the event to them?
Feel free to contact me via the PORTAL Education website and we can discuss further.
