Question References for the Foot Posture Index & navicular drop/drift

Podiatry Arena members do not see these ads
I'm fairly new to the profession and was wondering if anybody has a reference or two that describes how to determine/interpret a person's Foot Posture Index score?

As well, does anyone have a reference that describes navicular drop/drift and how it is measured/interpreted clinically?

Cheers,

Ryan. :)

For those of us that do not have access to JAPMA etc, would anyone be able to spare a few moments to offer a brief explanation of the navicular drop/drift test?
1. how it is measured?
2. how this measurement is interpreted clinically?

Craig?

Thanks in advance.
Adam

Dear Ryan

All the information you could ever need on the Foot Posture Index can be found at www.leeds.ac.uk/medicine/FASTER/FPI/

Available for download are the relevant papers, full documentation and datasheets.

I hope this helps
Tony
