Default Pay rates in UK?

Podiatry Arena members do not see these ads
Hello,

I am currently living in Australia and am looking to work in the UK later this year.

Could someone let me know roughly what an hourly casual rate is for private practice work in the UK, and for someone with extensive experience?

Thanks in advance,

Josh

Josh, hourly rates for locums is from £18-21.50 sterling/hr before tax. Varies according to which agency/if you go self employed or not. lower rates for casuals unfortunate enough to be bank staff. C :) ertain roles pay more, or is possible to pick up fee sharing arrangements in private practitioners. Best bet is to try & get a look at the Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrists (SOCAP) publication "Podiatry Now". Clasified/back pages of this will have adverts for said avenues. Mag itself will be expensive as everything else here so try to blag this months off your old Uni lecturer. Good Luck!
