Default C Ped Tech (C) Exam

I just got my results back and am now proud to be a C Ped Tech (C). I'm interested in hearing thoughts from others who wrote. I made 90% which makes me very curious as to which questions I got wrong.

Does anyone else feel that the traditional footwear material in the exam prep is a bit antiquated? I understand the anatomy and other fundamentals are necessary, but there doesn't seem to be be any modern content on the exam.

I also think that a tech should be able to fabricate an orthoses, and there should be some hands-on practical requirements. I know of some certified pedorthists with the tech designation who couldn't grind a heel lift or skive an arch let alone build a whole CFO. I realize that for most the tech exam is just a stepping stone to practicing clinical pedorthics, but there should be some representation for us as technicians. Thoughts?

Doug, l would imagine there are few different CPed Tech exams out there relevant to the country where you study, it might help if you told people where you sat the exam?

What do you call "representation for us as technicians" and have you put your thoughts in writing to your local Assoc./Board ?

" footwear material in the exam prep is a bit antiquated" They might be, but if your a Tech these are the materials you will most likely be working with, as clients bring in main stream footwear for modifications made from those very materials
