Default Electrical Compliance

Hi Guys

The TECs at my hospital have sent a "new" drill back due to not complying with Aust/Nz earthing standards.

This may stir up some, but according to the techo, if the drilling may cause skin penetration the device must be even more safe (BF Device standard). I pose the question.

Do any of our drills meet these standards??? Especially the older ones?

Anyway

Just a thought.

Cheers

Joe

I just looked at my own drill and it has a picture of a stick man next to a square inside a square, that means its double earthed, I am currently trying to get an answer for Lenson Metal Products (the makers of the Lenson Drills ) regarding there Aust / NZ Standards For Earthing. Anyone out there got a Lenson in Australia or NewZealand?? Anyone.......

Cheers

Hi Guys

Ill reply to myself.......again...... finally Hospital management has sent the "Uncertifiable" drill back to the supplier (after more than a year of stuffing around) who are now arguing that it has been away too long and not refundable? ....... Anyway not my bad. Look just make sure your drills (any any other electrical medical equipment is registerable with the authorities otherwise it could be used against you in litigation / insurance.

Be Good
