Even though I am about 500 miles from San Diego, all you international Podiatry Arena contributors/lurkers who are coming over to California for the seminar next month in San Diego need not worry about the fires. Even though it has been a brutal fire for many people in the San Diego/Los Angeles area, the area that the seminar is in has not been affected. In addition, the Santa Ana winds that have driven the flames are expected to die off over the next few days and hopefully calm down and reverse direction. The smoke will likely all be gone within a few weeks, but the misery of the nearly 1,500 lost homes will be much more evident than they are now. In Northern California, where I live, we have had a wetter than normal September and October so our fire danger is minimal up here....and we are quite thankful for that. Many of our firefighters are driving down to Southern California to help them with the wildfires.

Are there Proceedings or access to other presentations made at PFOLA conferences? They always sound terrific conferences to attend but unfortunately I am unable to attend this one.
Actually heading to the airport in 20 mins to fly out to LA to visit friends for a week and then taking the coast train to SD for PFOLA.
I know Dikoson (Simon Dickinson) and Deco are booked too.
Cya'll there

Arrive Tuesday. Will test the local brews to make sure they aren't poisonous. I wouldn't want anyone going down ill. It's a hard job, but I consider it a public service

Seems to be a number of people on Podiatry Arena at the moment, all from the IP address with the name 0127bhost39.starwoodbroadband.com .... wonder why? Could it be because we are all staying at the Sheraton?

Just got back from PFOLA.....regards to Craig Payne, Simon Spooner, Karl Landorf who all gave excellent lectures at the meeting. LCBL and Deco and I, along with Simon, Craig, Eric Fuller and many others learned the most during our talks after a few drinks at the bar when the day's lectures/workshops were all over. Hope everyone arrives home safely....and.....everyone is entitled to their questions......even if they are statements.

Craig:
I've told all the spammers to start sending their products in another 4 hours while you're flying over the Pacific Ocean.

Well again PFOLA was an excellent weekend with the usual mix of presentations, evening bar discussions, meeting old friends, meeting new friends and shooting the breeze with the great and the good (as well as the fringe )
I found some of the presentations excellent, some thought provoking and some not so but a good mix catering for most in attendance.
Great to catch up with Spooner, Kevin and Craig and chat with Eric, Larry and others and even managed to survive sharing a room for 6 days with Deco.
Well done to Chris and Doug et al, and here's looking forward to Vancouver.
Dave
