Podiatrist Jackie Smith has taken a bold step to raise money for a worthy cause.
The 42-year-old had all her hair shaved off in front of colleagues at the Bradford and Airedale Teaching Primary Care Trust headquarters in Bowling Old Lane, Bradford.
Jackie has raised more than £500 for Manorlands Sue Ryder care hospice, in Oxenhope, so far with money still coming in.
Jackie, who is also a trade union representative, said afterwards: "I feel bald, but it's okay. I will just have to live with this image for a bit. It's all for a good cause, so hopefully I have got a bit of money to give them."
Manorlands, which provides specialist palliative care for cancer patients, is close to Jackie's heart - her grandmother and aunt both died from cancer, as did her friend's partner.
"Helping cancer sufferers has particular significance for me," she said.
