Default Construction of custom made insoles for neuropathic feet

Hi

Can anyone suggest manufacturing tips for custom made pressure relieving insoles\orthotics for neuropathic patients. A quick review of the forum suggests materials to use and pressure relieving approaches however I was searching for advice/guide on actual manufacture of such devices.

Cheers

For me making these sort of TCI's the most important thing is the finish of the cast.

l make the cast wet and then rub a handfull of dry plaster over it to fill any little holes, after any little holes are filled l use more water and a fine wire mesh and polish the whole thing.

When you have finished it will have a glazed like look, the effort is then reflected in the finished product.

l also fill the sulcus under the toes

Is this the sort of advise/tips you are looking for?

Thanks for the reply this is the type of advice I was looking for. However I was also looking for type of materials people currently use with the insole itself PPT 6mm, plazatzote,etc..? What combinations work best, easiest to work with, cheap yet functional.

l dont know where you are (fill in your location might help us) but here in Australia Mason Grogan sell a tri-laminate of plazatzote 3mm with two layers below that of different firmness EVA, not sure of the actual hardness l can back to you on that, this material is used for the full length, under that we use a 400 EVA from mid foot back to heel for control and stability.
Hope it helps!
