Default Definition of forefoot orthotic additions

OK, I'm getting a little confused and need some confirmation of what we call the various forefoot additions, please ...:(

Met dome - is this always met heads 2-4 or do we sometimes use this under the 1st met head? And its on the orthotic plate and extends past the anterior edge.

Mortons extension??

Reverse mortons extension - padding sub 4-5 MPJs?

Met bar - padding 4-5 or 2-5

Forefoot post - the addition on the anterior edge of the orthotic (like on the underside of the orthotic, not a forefoot addition).

Cluffy Wedge is a wedge thicker distally which sits under the hallux to put it in a dorsiflexed position.

Kinetic wedge is a combination of a cluffy wedge and padding under the 4th and 5th MPJs (or is it 2nd to 5th MPJs).

Thanks in advance.

Rebecca

Different labs will define things a different way.

PFOLA have tried to standardise the terminology. See the list and definitions here. Many of your list is there except some of the Trademarked ones.

There was a recent paper on the Cluffy wedge.

The original publication on the Kinetic Wedge is here.
